After my launch event in late June, the local bookseller gifted me a copy of Talking Man, a short novel from the ancient days of the 1980s. He thought I’d enjoy it because I’d talked to him about Stone Junction (a book I discussed briefly here) a while back and the books have similar attitudes and voices. He was right! I am really digging it, even though my schedule is making it hard to plow through this very short book! Stone Junction made my list of top books for 2025, and so far Talking Man looks to do the same this year…
