Ho ho ho, and welcome back, y’all! Let’s dive right in. If you missed Day 1, it’s conveniently located behind that link you just skipped over.
Object Micro-Description
Pick a random object within arm’s reach—a pen, a mug, a sock. Spend one paragraph describing it using all five senses, faking it in places where you can’t literally use one (e.g., “It looks like it would taste like…”).
For a bonus: Add one unexpected metaphor.
We’re trying to train your brain to see ordinary things in precise, vivid language here. I truly hope you never give me a full paragraph about what a pen tastes like in your story, but this will help you build up that description muscle, which is almost as important as your delts.
