Big problems sometimes have small, easy solutions. For several years, I’ve collected various bits of media for use on my website and other projects. The problem? My collection is measured in gigabytes and it’s not very well organized at all. I desperately needed a solution, something that would organize my media in such a way that I could actually find something without spending forever scrolling. I tried organizing it manually at one point, but gave up because, well, gigabytes.

Just when I was about to cave and hire a college kid to manually sort thousands and thousands of photos, I came across PicArrange. PicArrange uses machine learning to actually examine the content of images…and then sort them based on your prompts. So you can ask for, say, blue walls and it’ll bring up all of your pictures of blue walls. Or, as in the image above, ask for “pink flowers” and…ta-da!

It’s not perfect, of course, but wow has it helped me out a lot! I’m actually using all those images I’ve collected over the years, and it’s great!
