So, waaaaay back in the first This Week in Rejection!, I showed off my very first rejection letter, from Asimov’s Science Fiction. You can see it here.
Today, I stumbled upon another Asimov’s rejection. Based on the change in address and on the inclusion of an e-mail address and a website, I can confidently say that this newer rejection was earned roughly fifteen years later. Possibly closer to twenty.
Anyway, I show you this letter because, believe it or not, the rejection letter hadn’t changed at all in the intervening years! Other than an updated address and internet information, the only change is the formatting and the lack of a faux signature from the editor.
