(Updated: Complete panelist list and Signing Info.)
Y’know, every year around this time pretty much everyone I know asks me, “Are you going to Comic-Con?” And every year, I say, “No.”
Not this year, baby!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be attending Comic-Con and appearing on a panel with a host of truly amazing talent. Check it out:
From psychokillers and sociopaths to the vast unknowable emptiness of deep space, these authors know that it takes more than just blood and gore to keep their readers awake at night. Their novels are all well crafted, imaginative, and more often than not…downright terrifying. Top horror and thriller novelists discuss how they balance ratcheting suspense with perfectly paced creepiness to create stories that are both psychologically and atmospherically disturbing. Participants Barry Lyga (I Hunt Killers), Michelle Gagnon (Don’t Turn Around), Johan Harstad (172 Hours on the Moon), Dan Wells (I Am Not a Serial Killer), James Rollins (SIGMA Force novels), Mark Z. Danielewski (The Fifty Year Sword, House of Leaves), Jeffrey J. Mariotte (The Devil’s Bait), and Chase Novak (Breed) discuss their delicate art with moderator Lauren Beukes (Zoo City).
The panel is titled “The Art of the Thrill Kill.” Come on! With a name like that, it has to be good!
You can find us all gathered in morbid council on Friday, July 13 from 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. in Room 24ABC.
At noon on the same day, I’ll be signing in Room AA09. Come find me and I will scribble in your book, thereby defacing it for all time!
I wish I could go to that panel since the lineup looks amazing! (I was only able to get a ticket for Sunday.) Oh well…On a brighter note, I plan on wearing my “I had a killer time with Barry Lyga” shirt on Sunday.
Very cool!
