If there’s one thing Hollywood loves more than itself, it’s making fun of itself. And Seth Rogen has now elevated that notion to its ineffable quintessence, with The Studio, a gloriously profane and hilarious AppleTV+ show about a newly minted studio head who just wants to make some good movies, but keeps tripping over his own dick. Along the way, the show manages to illustrate the sheer glory of well-made film, even as it ruthlessly mocks the people and the process of getting there. If you have AppleTV+, check it out.
