New York Harbor School

The media specialist at the New York Harbor School on Governor's Island has posted a quick description and a photo from my visit there. I had a blast at the school -- the kids were engaged and interested, and time flew. Plus, this is a high school where the kids build sea-worthy boats, farm their own tilapia (!), and are constructing an oyster bed to help filter pollutants from the harbor! How cool is that? Makes my old high school seem more boring than it was at the time...and that was pretty boring, believe me!
