50 Books in 2007

In 2006, Robin and I challenged each other to read fifty books over the course of the year.

I am proud to announce that I spanked her. Totally. I mean, I killed. I read 62 books as well as a truly obscene number of comic books and graphic novels, which I didn't count out of fairness. (Slaughter rule and all, you know.) Robin never even hit fifty.

So in 2007 -- having not had enough humiliation -- she challenged me again. Oh, the temerity! This time, though, she's enlisted the aid of her bloggy cohorts, forming the Tuesday Book Club as a way of shaming herself into reading the books.

And it's actually sorta, kinda working.

For now.

OK, here's my list. For Robin's, journey over here. Lay down your bets and cheer on your favorite jockey. The race ends on December 31, 2007...

Update: As of September 17, I have won the first leg of the race, getting to fifty books before Robin. Whoo-hoo! To add insult to injury, take note of which book was #50...
