Schedule

Vegas, Baby!

Next week, I’ll be in Las Vegas for gambling and booze the ALAN conference. I’ll be part of a panel with Dan Wells (Mr. Monster) and Derf (My Friend Dahmer), talking about — what else? — serial killers. (Remember when people only ever asked me about teacher sex scandals?)

The panel takes place at the ungodly hour of 8:15am and lasts a half hour. Look, people — I’ll manage to drag my lazy, exhausted, broken-footed carcass out of bed to blather at entertain you. You can make it. Bring coffee and a bagel. And bring something for yourself, too.

We’ll be cutting up in the MGM Grand, Premier Ballrooms 309-311, and a signing will follow the panel. See you in Vegas!

Upcoming: Brooklyn Book Festival!

If you’re in Brooklyn or the Brooklyn area on September 23, be sure to stop by the Brooklyn Book Festival, held annually at the Brooklyn Borough Hall and Plaza (209 Joralemon Street, Brooklyn NY 11201). Not only is it always terrific fun, but this year I’ll be appearing on a panel at the Youth Stoop!

It’s a Hard Knock Life

Being a teen can be hard. Whether the issue is bullying, teen pregnancy or even a serial killer dad, this is a time in life that’s as thrilling as it is confusing, full of questions and decisions. Join popular authors Susane Colasanti (Keep Holding On) and Barry Lyga (I Hunt Killers) along with debut author Louise Rozett (Confessions of an Angry Girl) as they discuss tough choices and the teens who make them and why the teenage years are such a writing inspiration.

Swing by and see us! Signing to follow the panel.

Decatur Book Festival

For those of you who missed the previous announcement and haven’t checked the calendar lately, here’s a head’s up that I’ll be presenting at the Decatur Book Festival on Sunday, September 2!

From 1-1:45pm, I will present on the “Escape” Teen Stage (outside the DeKalb County Courthouse), speaking of bloody, bloody things. I will probably also read from I Hunt Killers. (And, yes, there’s a chance the infamous “Billy voice” will make an appearance…). I will also most certainly be taking questions from you.

After the presentation, I’ll mosey on over to a signing table, where I will sign books until my hands fall off. If you would like to see my hands fall off, I encourage you to come and have me sign a great many things.

PLUS: The first person in my signing to line to say, “Billy Dent was framed!” will get the ever-popular limited edition “KILLER Time” t-shirt for their very own!

Here’s some more info, if you like.

See you in Decatur!
