Archvillian Contest/ Superhero question

By: Sheila Reid
on Mon September 20, 2010, 12:19:15

I would want the power of flight. It would make traveling so much quicker and simpler. I would get to spend more time with my family & friends.

Hmm. I’d have the power to call forth literary characters from books to do my good, evil, or morally ambiguous bidding, mwahahah and/or HERO STANCE! The power is limited by this, however: I can only call characters from books that I have on hand.

The one superpower I would like is telekinesis. I would love to be able to move things with my mind. It might make me a bit lazy though.

I’d like to be able to time-travel – see what New York City used to look like before it was built up, go shopping in all sorts of different eras, meet cool people, learn history as it’s being made – – -how amazing would that be?

One superpower? Only one? Hmmmm…
I’ve always thought that any superhero who could fly was pretty danged cool, so I’ll have to go with that: flight.– Tom

The one superpower I’ve always wanted is to teleport because I want to be able to travel to all the places I want to go with no boundaries. Nuff’ said.

The ability to slow down time while I can move around at normal speed, as can things I interact with. Deadlines would be nonexistent, taking much of the strain off high-school.

I would like to be able to fly too. I dream about this often for some reason. Not sure what this means! I may have been a bird or flying squirrel, or something with wings, in a previous life.

Superpower of Choice

Superpower of choice? Pyrokenesis. I love fire, it crackles and dances so happily~ Plus it would just be sweet to create flames from nothing and be able to control it to fight crime. Or commit crimes. The best part would be, I could wear whatever clothes I wanted, since I’d just be a walking, fighting, column of fire, so I wouldn’t have to worry about spandex or a mask to conceal my identity.

I would want space time control. So i could finally help people. And unlike life, I would be able to get a second chance. I would finally be able to do things instead of standing idly by. I could learn from historical figures themselves, and learn to understand the world and life itself better.

I would like space time control, because then i would be able to have a second chance. I could go back in time to learn from the greatest of scholars. Plus on a power scale…space time control includes the following:
teleportationtime travel

superspeed

Super-Power

Ho, ho…you are truly evil, my friend. Only ONE power? How can one choose?Strength..so tempting, but all too common. Invulnerability…too greedy. Plus, what if it goes out of control and nobody can touch me? Super Speed? Nah. I’m just starting to jog a few times a week…let’s not ruin it, eh?
So how about the ability to elicit pheromones from my body. That way I could make people laugh more, thus feeling better about life and themselves. I could frequent hospitals and nursing homes, adding to their quality of life. Plus, it would be a great classroom management tool for my sixth graders!
There you go. Pheromone control that could make people laugh.
Thanks for making me think Mr. Lyga!

Let’s see, if I was an archvillain, I’d probably go with a mind control power. One could pretty much get everything they wanted accomplished by being able to control someone psychically.

Hmm…A question for the ages. There are the obvious choices for convenience and fun, flight, teleportation, cloning, etc. Things that would allow you to travel fast and/or multitask. There are the superhero powers, strength, speed, laser beams, elemental abilities…
But I would like to be completely telekinetic. I can manipulated and control objects completely with telekinesis. It seems simple, and limited, but oh so useful. Also, with mastery, it could be used for many other purposes, such as carrying yourself (i.e. flying), grabbing things from across the room, rearranging rooms, and numerous purposes. The powers of the mind are the most intriguing ones to develop.

If I could choose a super power I’d choose the ability to clone myself so then I could multitask 🙂 then at the end of the day I could have the clones reenter my body and I would have the experiences they’ve had as well as I’ve had throughout the day 🙂 Homework, chores, and hanging out won’t get the best of me and stress me out if I had that power.

The power to pull things out of my imagination and make them reailty. So what ever I cam imagine doing I can and anything I imagine happening. Creating objects. That would be the best superpower.
And why? Because it’s only limited by myself. What can’t you do with it?

I’d like to have the power of telepathy like Professor Xavier or Jean Grey. I could save so much time and frustration from stopping people from doing stupid things?

Shapeshifting. Why? Several reasons!Need to fly? Become a dragon.

Need some strength? Go gorilla.

Need to be sneaky? Become an insect. Or assume the likeness of the place you need to break into!

And I’m sure there are many other instances it’d be useful, like, saving yourself (and potentially others) in a car crash! Become a protective shield! Obviously, this requires limitless shapeshifting… but who says that can’t happen? 😀

Such power I will have!

I would want the power to hurl a yak into space using only my mind. I admit it’s not the most practical power, but since when do villains need to be practical? Just think of the fear and despair I could inflict upon the yak-loving public.
Think about it.

My Superpower

By: Hannah
on Tue September 21, 2010, 21:21:23

I would have the superpower that enables me to have every superpower I want at a moments notice.
If I can fly-that’s it. I can fly. Whoop de. If I can talk to animals, I can talk to animals. But if I have this superpower, I can talk to animals and fly. Or control fire and talk to fish. Read minds. Super smart, telekinesis-anything I want to. Like that. Erm, imagine a snap to accompany “that.”

One superpower I would like to have…

By: Julia Walter
on Wed September 22, 2010, 08:45:29

I would want to be able to shut off my superpower…
Superpowers mess people up. A lot. Telepaths can become insufferable and lose their humanity. See Octavia Butler’s Patternmaster series and Alfred Bester and the Psi Corps in “Babylon 5.” Superman, Batman, Spiderman all have problems of intimacy and letting people get to know them. They are lonely, as is Wolverine, Remy Chandler (Thomas Sniegoski’s fallen angel), Harry Dresden (Jim Butcher’s very human wizard gumshoe in Chicago). So if I had a superpower I’d want the ability to control it so it didn’t make me less than human.
I think I’d want to be an empath/ healer.

I would instill the desire for people to be kind and compassionate to people and things around them. In doing so, they would be embracing diversity, feel a stronger sense of responsibility to take care of the world around them and those they share it with (instead of being so centered on self and what they can get, get, get) and be able to come together to collaborate on facing challenges and solving problems.

My superpower would be to slow down time. There is too much to do in so little time, so if I could slow it down, I could do everything I would want to.

I would definitely want telekinesis; I always have. There’s something about being able to get things from far away. Am I lying on my bed sick and want to get a book from my bookshelf to read? Ah-ha, I can get it! I always have figured out that if one can move things with one’s mind, then doesn’t that include oneself? It would be like flying. There’s always a chance that I would get lazy, but then there would be more jot in actually moving than that aggravating feeling when one has to get something that one has left on the complete otherside of the room.
