Over at “My Book, the Movie,” authors talk about casting the movie adaptations of their novels. I was asked about casting I Hunt Killers, and here’s a little bit of what I had to say…
I’ve been asked repeatedly: Who do you see playing Jazz? And Connie? And Howie? And G. William? And the guy at the coffee shop eating a cruller?
The sad, sad answer is this: Beats me.
I guess I missed the day in Author School when they taught us how to answer these questions because I don’t have the slightest idea who should play anyone in my series. Honestly.
Well, not honestly. There’s one exception.

Wow, you are really going to turn the “I hunt Killers” book into a movie. I am so excited. As for characters go, I was thinking that Willow Smith (Will Smith’s daughter) can play Connie and Taylor Lautner as Jazz. Don’t know about the other character though. For some odd reason the guy named Paul in your YouTube video “Putting the man back in Manicure” would be perfect to play Jazz’s father. Just my opinion. Hope you have time to respond? I would love to hear what you would think.
Not sure what in that piece made you think I was turning the books into a movie. First of all, I don’t have several million dollars and a film crew. Second of all, it’s just a speculative piece on who I would like to have play Billy; that’s all. Sorry. 🙂
