MEMORY MONDAY

Memory Monday: Super-Temper and…John Green???

A couple of weeks ago, we saw an example of Superman’s ego. Now, sadly, we see another of the Man of Steel’s negative traits. Did you know Superman actually has a temper?

It’s rare to see it, but…

Yeesh! I wouldn’t want to piss him off! (And for those of you wondering — the skullish looking guy floating behind him is a ghost super-hero named Deadman. Hence his little “killing me” pun.)

Perhaps as interesting as an uncharacteristic (and potentially planet-shattering) outburst from the Last Son of Krypton, though, is this bit from the issue’s Q&A column:

You don’t suppose it could be…that John Green, do you?

Probably not.1

(From DC Comics Presents #24, August 1980. Written by Len Wein. Art by José Luis Garcia-Lopez.)

  1. John would have probably been in kindergarten at the time. Doesn’t mean he didn’t write that question, but the odds are not…and I’m racing to put this up online, so I don’t have time to ask him.

  1. Hah! LMFAO. He’s not old enough for it to be him, is he?
