EVERY MONDAY – WHETHER YOU NEED IT OR NOT – I POST COOL, ABSURD, AND/OR AWESOME PANELS FROM COMIC BOOKS I READ AS A KID. THIS IS

MEMORY MONDAY

Memory Monday: How Many Titans Does It Take…?

It’s a two-fer today!

Way back when I was a kid, I saw/read this panel from an issue of New Teen Titans:

And I thought, “Of course!” Although I was well-read in all manner of sci-fi by this point in my life, I had never, ever considered this idea, that it would take “complete co-operation between a hundred or more beings” to run a ship. Something as complicated and delicate as interstellar travel would surely be that difficult, right?

Well, literally two issues later:

Say what? Suddenly interstellar travel is so simple that two guys who have never done it before can pilot a starship through the cosmos on their own, all while discussing their buddy’s love-life?

Oh, comics…
