EVERY WEEK, REJECTION LETTERS FROM MY PAST. BECAUSE THE HURT GOES AWAY AFTER A COUPLE OF DECADES.

THIS WEEK IN REJECTION!

This Week in Rejection!: Pembroke Magazine

I have no definitive scientific proof, but I believe that this week’s entry wins the prize for Smallest Rejection Letter Ever:

As you can see, it’s not so much a rejection slip or a rejection letter as it’s a rejection, well…Post-It. Shown above at pretty much actual size. (Photographed, not scanned, so that you can see it’s a sticky.)

The best part of this, really, is that the story I submitted was a flash fiction — a single sentence, 31 words — so getting a wee little rejection is totally fitting and beyond awesome.
